Dunbar Rovers AAW2 8 – 1 Waverley Old Boys AAW2

A brilliant performance from the AAW2s saw them victorious over Waverley Old Boys in last nights ESFA Womens Cup semi final.

Two quickfire girls from Emma Watson and Rosie Jones were preceded by an absolute thunderbastard (A football goal scored usually from long-range with high degrees of velocity and power) of an opening goal by Kat Jacob. Goals from Nina Mallstrom and Maggie Perkins ensured that as well as Waverley had played, the half time score of 5 nil to Dunbar was just rewards for a job well done with the revamped defence standing firm.

The second half unsurprisingly failed to live up to the intensity of the first. A penalty was excellently put away by Carrie Seath, Kat Jacob scored her second with a neat finish into the corner and header from a well worked corner routine saw Tina Tinken Westerberg score her second of the season.

A late consolation goal from the spot was well deserved for Waverley who continued to pressure throughout the second half. Final score 8-1

The reward for Dunbar will be a spot in the final against Mascot – date to be confirmed. Thank you to those who came to support.
