Player of the week – Sean Bonner AA2 / Championship Ressies
Sean hailing from Co.Donegal, Ireland is this weeks player of week. A member of the AA2 squad, and predominantly a Centre Midfielder, Sean stepped up to the ressies for a second time this season and along with his AA2 colleagues Ben Lusk, Kyle Reid and Josh Maingard (who were all excellent in the higher grade) was outstanding at centre back with a calming influence with the ball at his feet and also solid in the air as Lee Burneys side had a crucial 2-0 win against Coogee.
Sean, a nephew of Irelands famous Goalie, Packie Bonner has also been a standout player for the AA2s this season and has settled into his playmaking role in midfield.
Sean was recommended to Cathair by an infamous former Dunbar player, Donal Rogers and at only 25 years old Sean is the youngest in the AA2 side. Unfortunately Sean will move back to Ireland in a few weeks time, but hopefully we will welcome him back to Sydney again in the near future.
