U12 Dunbar Rovers FC 3 vs 1 U12 Heffron Hawks FC
What a season it’s been for the Dunbar U12 boys team!
We started with only 5 boys who were actually U12’s and made up the rest of the team from U11’s so we entered them in the Division 3 to ensure they were not thrashed. After a few weeks of winning matches by 14 – 1 we were promoted to Division 2 and made the semi finals placed 4th.
Last Saturday we commenced the semi final match against Heffron but after 5 minutes the match was abandoned as the ground had been double booked.
The replay was last night and after going down against the run of play, the boys dominated to win 3 – 1!
2 great goals to Tommie Bruce our speedy striker and the other to Vasco Santos-Appleby.
This weekend both of Dunbar’s inaugural competitive junior teams ( U12 boys and girls teams) will be playing in the Preliminary final, not a bad effort for a fledgling junior club.
Good luck to Sarah and Murph and the U12 boys and girls this weekend as they try to win a place in the Grand Final!
