O35’s stung by Pagewood

A tough day at the office started well, with Marko slotting home a free kick outside the area through the keeper’s hands after only about 3 mins to make it 1-0.
Pagewood slowly recovered and nicked one back soon afterwards after their striker made room on the attack out right and slotted at far post.
Game was tight and a Marco Corner was nodded on by Smithy into the net to make it 2-1. Unfortunately we let their dangerous player Figo run too far on the edge of the box a few minutes later, to release another player in the box who slotted home to make it 2-2 at the break.
The second half started poorly with a free kick into the box created confusion and a failed punch of the ball saw the ball rebound into the net. The remaining 25 minutes was still even, however on two occasions they managed to get free they finished smartly to make it final score 5-2.
Sucks to lose by this score-line but we were in this match for the most part. They seemed more up for it and more aggressive to be fair. Let’s not worry too much. We played some nice football. Just need more time together for us to start getting combinations back across the park.
