With the first of 4 games in 7 days we travelled away to face up against a Coogee B squad, knowing we needed a good result to maintain our recent form.
We took the game to Coogee from the start and the pressure paid off with Alex finding himself in the box and looped the ball over the keeper while on the deck to make it 1-0 after 15 mins. 10 mins later a great cross from Todd out right was met by Alex R Gomez in the to whip the ball home in the half volley to make it 2-0.
Unfortunately a lack of focus from Taggy saw a goal from the kick off with a long range strike that caught him off his line to make it 2-1.
We got back into the after this against the run of play goal and and good pressure out left and a nice through ball from Gauty, saw Marko make a great run and finish low to the keeper left for 3-1. He was involved again 5 mins later after a direct ball from the back from Kenny found him on a great curving run and with 2 touches finished past the advancing keeper to make it 4-1 at half time.
In the second half we continued to knock the ball around as Coogee tired. A great goal in the 20th minute again from Marko in the top left corner left the keeper with no chance and completed a well deserved hatrick continuing his great goal scoring form this year.
Our final goal came from a corner from out left taken by Alex and after a scramble in the box saw Chris pushing forward from midfield and bury it for his first of the season and make the final score 6-1 Dunbar.
