Dunbar Rovers Cambodia Update
Dunbar Rovers Cambodia Under 14’s has recently competed in the Indochina Starfish Foundation Boys tournament in Phnom Penh. The tournament now brings in 500 players from 41 teams across the country and this year included games and activities for the blind and visually impaired players. Despite not making the final, the Dunbar kids competed with determination, encouraged and respected each other, and learnt to challenge themselves whilst having fun.
Dunbar Rovers have supported this since 2008 sponsoring an Under 10’s, 14’s & 16’s Boys and Under 14 Girls team from Komar Rikreay (KMR) in the Battambang region of Cambodia. KMR provides non-institutional care and community nurturing for former street and trafficked kids. Our support provides an opportunity for the kids to play football, regain their childhood and realize their dreams. Facebook ‘ISF Cambodia’. Check out just how happy the boys are!
